OUR SERVICES

Our therapists have over 13 years of combined experience. All have studied further into either Sport or Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (OMT) and are constantly keeping up to date with the latest research and techniques to help you in the best way possible.

Services we offer

Hands on treatment that includes

  • Manual Therapy (Maitland/McKenzie/Mulligan techniques)
  • Massage and myofacial release techniques
  • Neural mobilisation

Dry needling

  • Dry needling is a successful western medicine technique. Your therapist will use a thin dry needle (without medication) and insert it into a muscle or area where there is pain. The needle will cause neurological and physiological effects to the muscle. Blood will flush into the area, and assist the normal healing process by bringing oxygen and nutrients to the affected area.

Strapping techniques and tapes

  • We use different types of strapping, from rigid to elastic sport tape. Strapping facilitates the normal healing process and also limits or promotes certain movements assisting with the desired outcome.

Electrotherapy that includes

  • Laser therapy
  • Ultrasound therapy
  • Interferential therapy

Traction

  • Spinal Traction is a machine that uses mechanical forces to stretch and mobilise the spine. Traction relieves pain by stretching the spinal muscles and creating space between the intervertebral foramen to relieve nerve root impingement.

Lung and sinusitis treatments that include

  • Various breathing exercises and breathing devices
  • Nebulisation
  • Postural drainage

Exercise programmes

  • We believe that treatment does not stop in the rooms. A home exercise programme is important to help maintain what you gained during your physiotherapy session. It’s important to address any muscle imbalances and stiffness that might have an effect on your pain.
